See you... English!

Hello classmates!

I’m a bit sad,today is the last post in my English blog. Although Semester is near to end and the summer is coming!!! (wiiii...Yes, in Santiago summer is awful!)

I have to tell you that I love English, but I have lost my practice. A few years ago, I speak English more fluent; today I speak and write English like caveman. It sounds funny, but is real.

In my opinion, this subject in the university is not so useful, because I think that we learn more speaking with native speakers in other context. I had poor aspirations respect to English at the university, all of my classmates of psychology hate that subject, but teacher make the difference, because she is always care to send us vocabulary and is a very nice person. We love her!!!

I think about the use blog that it could be more interactive, with free issues. I go to tell you my reasons…some topics are bored.

 I have difficulties written in English, because I don’t use grammar rules in the right way and I don’t have much vocabulary. I think that I need to relearn to write in English, and practice my writing. I know, if I practice my English, I would write more word in blog. But I don’t have time

I always have interest in English; I think it is important if you want to travel around the world like me.

I always use English, all above when I see series in internet such as “How I meet your mother” or “The Big Bang Theory”, but I'm jump to the adventure to see them without subtitles jet. Also, I love listen music in English, and look for the lyric’s meanings in Spanish. Sometimes, the meanings are wrong and I try to translate in my own way. Maybe I invent new songs, musicians: Don’t kill me please!!!

Money... dirty money!

I have never liked to talk about money. Money is not important to me, I don’t mean that I never need money, but I think that in times like these, there is an excessive preoccupation about it. I have never understood why some people long for to have a lot of money or constantly compete with others for theirs recent material acquisitions, such as the car of the year or a new model of cellphone. Yes, money buys things, but doesn’t buy happiness and love.

I spend my money in food mainly, because I come from a place far away from Santiago and my parents send me money to survive there. When I have money, I like to buy clothes too. I buy expensive clothes or shoes, but just if is necessary and I have save money before. Generally buy clothes in second hand store or look for sales or the cheapest price.  I love to go to shopping, but I don’t buy the first thing that I like, I prefer to compare prices and look at others shops.

I think that I had been good at managing my budget, because I always have save money. I don’t like ask my love ones or friends for money. Indeed, when I work at retail shop a few years ago I save my salary every month, because I wanted to buy my own bicycle, I don’t buy it yet, but my savings are intact (jajaja!).  

I couldn't imagine me like a millionaire person, but I will try. If I would have a lot of money, I think that I would invest it in real states and share my fortune with my family and helping people around the world; making something useful for them.

A Green Heart!

Hello everyone!!! Today the issue is the recycling and my environmental practices.

Till a few years ago, this topic wasn’t important to human, but the Earth was screaming for help. We were destroying it since always, because we haven’t been careful about contamination and gas emission, especially since industrial revolution. If we continue like this, she won't endure it anymore. That is why all of us must do something, even if it is a little action, we must do it now to save her!

I always had had environmental conscience. When I was child, I didn’t like going to the circus, because I never like to see how they mistreated their animals. I don’t think watching that kind of shows are such an entertainment thing. I don’t understand why circus’s animals are in cage that seems like jails, they live in deplorable conditions. It is so sad, but some people think like me, others just enjoy the show.  

Sometimes, when I wander in Santiago’s street, many things make me feel upset. There’s a lot of pollution and cars. I hate when people throw cigarettes, packaging or another kind of garbage out in street, even if they have a dustbin near.

In my case, this year I started to recycle store bags and not to use it, but it has been difficult, because sometimes I forget to take my own reusable bag. Moreover I always enjoy walk to the university, and when I have to go to another place, such as city town of Santiago, I take a public transport. I want to buy a bike since a long time ago, but have to save money.

I hope what i'm doing right now could be useful to make The Earth a better place to live in.

To Vote for a politician... no thanks

Hello everyone! The topic of the day is the vote.

I don’t really like the politician’s stuffs, because I think that it is a corrupted system, especially about the electoral system. Although the conception of the political participation is a bit romantic, because some citizens believe that they can change the world with it, it is not true!.

In my point of view, the electoral system has many problems. Among the problems, we can find the binomial system, the money that the politicians wasted in theirs campaigns or theirs huge salaries before they are elected.

I don’t feel represented by the politicians, to me they are a big bag of inept and thief people. Indeed, I hate the electoral campaigns, because they get dirty the streets with their political publicity and they make their demagogical promises in the television or in their respective neighbourhood, and then, they forget their promises, and something that is worse, they forget the people. An example is what happens in the Ñuñoa’s square; there is a lot of posters spread all over the place.

For that reasons, and others that I could forget, I wasn’t registered to vote until the present year, thanks to “the automatic registration and voluntary vote” law. I think it is unnecessary and a superficial solution to the political participation, because is a greatest problem.

Finally, I have never thought being a politician, because when you’re in the power, you lost your ideals.

Insomnia: A common trouble.

Some studies indicated that about the third part of adults have troubles falling or started to asleep.  This common trouble has many roots. For one hand many scientists and psychologists think that the insomnia is a symptom of any mental disorder, but on the other hand another scientists believe that the insomnia is the beginning or the root of the other problem.

One study indicated that the depression 40 times more high in patients that suffer insomnia. For some mental health experts view the insomnia as a cause of anxiety or depression. But this is a controversial topic yet.

The insomnia doesn’t have a cure yet. To treat it, Exist many kinds of therapies, one of the most popular is the pills. There is something to say about it; it’s true that pills have many positive results reducing the insomnia, but in comparison they have a lot of secondary effects such as temporary amnesia.

In relation with it, I believe that insomnia is not a severe trouble. I bet that a lot of you have had troubles to get to sleep, over all in exams period or when we have personal worries. I think that the solution is more simply, I recommended make funny activities, such as play any instrument, go to run in outdoors or go hang out. In other words, enjoy the life!!!

Best Friends!!!

Hi everyone! Today I have to talk about best friends.

I believe that it is a bit difficult to me to call to my friends as best friends, indeed I have few friends, because I think that it is a name that is deserved for special people and special relationships. Even though I’m very sociable, because I like to meet persons, to make a real friendship with someone is a complicated stuff for me. Because, when I was child, I was very shy, and I didn’t like to interact with other children… I didn’t feel comfortable with strangers. I just enjoy playing alone. Then, when I grew up, I realized that if I continued with my shyness, in the future, I would be a very lonely person and I didn’t like that idea.  That is how I started to make friends and share with many kinds of people too. It is in this time I met the only two friends that I dare to call “Best friend”: Camila and Orlando. We have a very special close bond, because we don’t see each other often and don’t talk either but when we need each other or when we have troubles, we are always there, giving support.  

To make friends is not so difficult as I though before!

The best semester

What can I tell you about my experience in first semester? The first thing that I do was move to another house to live. I come from a place far, far away from Santiago, so I have to live in a student hostel.  At the begining, I had a lot of fear, because I didn’t  share house with so many people, but then, I felt very confortable. My roommates are so funny, nice and loving!

In the academic matters,  the past semester was a bit strange. On one hand , I was assistant  professor  of “Estadísticas” and I learned to many things, It make me feel happy. But, on the other hand, the regular class were boring, because all were introductions of some areas of psychology but we didn’t study them deeply.

Finally, and the most important experience that I lived during that semester, was felt new emotions, and met new great people that I will never forget.  

In short, It went very fast...but I enjoy very much!!!

Second Semester
